Being here is strange.
At Strathfield station, night comes on. The safety markings on the concrete start to glow as a dark silhouette shifts. In late afternoon a line of light falls onto the front veranda perfectly encircling the cat's bowl.
There are rumours of hope and years of rain. Tiny sparks of self assurance. Flash fires of peace.
My work is about the world of our feelings. In moments of suburban life there are intimations of the irrational; the abstract; the animal mind. I depict such moments using abstraction, ambiguity and colour to express a felt experience of the world.
I live in Sydney, Australia and work in a range of mediums, primarily drawing, printmaking and photography.
