About

I am an emerging artist, working in printmaking, installation, and photography. My work is firmly grounded in my background as an Egyptian-Australian, who, growing up in Guildford, NSW, experienced Western Sydney's changing cultural relations and the continuous transformation of its urban landscape. This informs work that explores connection to place through material culture and values expressions of agency within everyday life. â€‹My work explores these ideas through a language of abstraction and materiality.

I completed an MFA at the National Art School, Sydney, in 2021, where I was the recipient of the Jenour Foundation Fine Arts MFA Scholarship and the Mark Henry Cain Memorial Travel Scholarship. I have participated in residencies in Australia and internationally, including Cill Rialaig, Ireland.
